Home Etc #96

A warm and toasty welcome to this week’s Home Etc!

We seem to have slipped back into winter again; yesterday gave us snow and hail and the temperature have dropped massively. Definitely a cause to cosy up indoors and lkeep the home fires burning.

And talking of home. Back to this week’s Home Etc link-up.

Home Etc is a weekly linky for bloggers who have written content that include interiors (wish lists, room tours or DIY), garden or allotment ideas, plus crafting or up-cycling.

This week it’s hosted by myself and the lovely Kerry from Noah and The Girls.

The first Home Etc favourite from last week comes from Jane who blogs at Maflingo.

She took us on a tour of the new White Stuff store in her home town of Nottingham.

Definitely more than just a shop; Jane’s post makes it look like THE shopping destination in Notts county.

The thing I loved the most were the changing rooms.

Designed to look like a little street; each changing cubicle has it’s own front door and opens up to reveal an ‘entrance hall’.

Fabulous — that kind of attention to detail is second to none.

Pop over and have a read of Jane’s post to see more of the store; particularly the in-store cinema and ‘olde world’ sweetshop!

Our second favourite comes from Home Etc regular Steph, who blogs over at Life at 139a.

She shared one of the most beautiful places that I’ve seen in a long while; the potting shed at the National Trust’s Mottisfront in Hampshire.

It’s so utterly charming, I want to show all of Steph’s photos but — if you missed her post — do pop along to her blog to see the rest, and go and read all about it.

Congratulations Steph and Jane — you’re both now in the running to win this month’s voucher from our fabulous sponsor, Laura Ashley.

1) Please include our lovely #HomeEtc badge at the bottom of your post.

The Twinkle Diaries

2) You may link up to two posts — new or old (sometimes the old posts are forgotten about, so please dust them down and show them off; we’d love to read them!)  — but no more than two posts each week please.

3) Please be kind enough to comment on your HOSTS’ POSTS which will always be the first two entries in the link up — plus a couple of others. Blog hops only work if you’re as generous with your comments as you are at sharing your posts.

Please be sure to tweet —@twinklediaries  or @NoahandGirls — with the url to your post, using the hashtag #HomeEtc and Kerry or I will retweet (sometimes both of us if you’re lucky)! ;)

Finally, one of us will pick a favourite post each week then at the end of the month we’ll choose an overall winner. This lucky blogger will receive a £20 voucher from our fabulous sponsor!

Thanks so much for linking up all your fabulous posts. The Home Etc girls and I look forward to reading more of the same this week!

Lots of love,

Caro and Kerry x

PS — see you in a couple of week’s time.

    1. I’ve never heard of it Steph!! But after reading your post I went and had a look online. It’s SO beautiful isn’t it?!! My SIL lives in Hampshire and it’s an hour away from them. Might go and check it out next time we visit her.

Please leave me a comment — I love hearing from you!
