Home Etc #67

Well, that’s it folks.

Summer is ‘officially’ over.

The schools have all begun a brand new year and everything will start to settle down again. Early to bed and early to rise, rather than the hectic late bedtimes that we’ve all been having lately and hopefully things will start to be a little calmer.

I almost tend to lose track of the days during the long school holiday, it feels like a perpetual weekend (and my boys aren’t even at proper school yet!!).

Anyway. Time to relax…

Welcome to this week’s Home Etc

Home Etc is a weekly link up for bloggers who have written posts that include interiors (wish lists, room tours or DIY), garden or allotment ideas, plus crafting or up-cycling.

If you’re a fan of all things ‘home and garden’ and have a post that you’d like to share, my good friend Jess and I would love you to come and link up.

HomeEtc Favourites

Last week was all about bedrooms! First fave came from Charlotte who writes over at Our Life As We See It.

She shared part one of her bedroom makeover — featuring an amazing upcycled bed made by her clever husband Joe! Absolutely love it — and am now looking forward to part two!

Charlotte and Joe’s fabulous upcycled bed!

And amazingly our second favourite was another bedroom makeover; this time from Anna.

Her beautiful bedroom is now a gazillion miles away from the room she and her new husband — congratulations by the way Anna! — inherited when they bought their house.

After lots of hard work, she revealed her gorgeous bedroom — a vision of pink and grey.

Congratulations — both your names are now in the hat, to win this month’s voucher from our generous sponsor.

Thanks so much everyone, for linking in. Jess and I really, really enjoy reading all your posts!

All we ask is that you follow these 3 little rules:

1) Please include our lovely #HomeEtc badge at the bottom of your post.

The Twinkle Diaries

2) You may link up to two posts — new or old (sometimes the old posts are forgotten about, so please dust them down and show them off; we’d love to read them!)  — but no more than two posts each week please.

3) Please be kind enough to comment on your HOSTS’ POSTS which will always be the first two entries in the link up — plus a couple of others. Blog hops only work if you’re as generous with your comments as you are at sharing your posts.

Be sure to tweet —@twinklediaries — with the url to your post, using the hashtag #HomeEtc and Jess or I will always retweet (sometimes both of us if you’re lucky)! ;)

Finally, Jess and I will pick one favourite post each week then at the end of the month we’ll choose an overall winner. This lucky blogger will receive a £20 voucher from our fabulous sponsor!

Psst… as well as HomeSense the voucher can also be spent in TK Maxx!

Thanks so much for linking up all your lovely posts. We look forward to reading more of the same this week! The linky portal is open until midday on Friday.

#HomeEtc the hashtag

Finally, Jess and I are delighted to see so many of you lovelies using the #HomeEtc hashtag on Instagram! I have picked 9 of my favourite Instagram photos from the last few weeks!

If you are on Instagram and post anything home, interiors, DIY, craft & garden related please do use the #HomeEtc hashtag. I’ve found some really fab IG feeds to follow over the last few weeks, through folk tagging us in! :)

Lots of love,

Caro & Jess x
