Home Etc #46

I cannot believe it — I’ve just realised (yes, I’m a little slow on the uptake as we number each week, I know) that in just 6 week’s time we’ll have done a whole YEAR’s worth of Home Etc link ups!

That’s absolutely flown by!

For anyone not familiar with Home Etc, who happens to be stopping by for the first time,

Home Etc is a weekly linky for bloggers who’ve featured interiors, DIY, garden or allotment, crafting or up-cycling.

If you’re a lover of all things home and have a post that you’d like to share, my co-host Jess and I would be delighted for you to come and link up with us!

Each week we have a wealth of creative bods linking up their home and garden improvements

Last week’s favourites came from Fionnuala who blogs over at Three Sons Later. She’s just about to embark on a hobby that’s really close to my heart — chicken keeping!

We love our chickens and I said to Fionnu that the actuality of owning them was just as lovely as the thought of it, in my case. They really did live up to my expectations.

Lovely fresh eggs and endlessly entertaining — such a great combination — they make really fab pets.

Another favourite post came from Kat from the blog Eat.Love.Live. She took us on a tour of her lovely kitchen.

It’s so lovely to see how they’ve made use of the available space.

We designed our old kitchen to suit our needs and I loved it. Having everything exactly as you want it, in a kitchen, is a rare thing as most of us make do with inherited kitchens, don’t we? It’s a real luxury to rip everything out and kit it out, exactly as you want it.

I loved seeing all of the thoughtful details that had gone into Kat’s kitchen.

Thanks so much everyone, for linking in. Jess and I really, really enjoy reading all your posts!

All we ask is that you follow these 3 little rules:

1) Please include our lovely #HomeEtc badge at the bottom of your post.

The Twinkle Diaries

2) You may link up to two posts — new or old (sometimes the old posts are forgotten about, so please dust them down and show them off; we’d love to read them!)  — but no more than two posts each week please.

3) Please be kind enough to comment on your HOSTS’ POSTS which will always be the first two entries in the link up — plus a couple of others. Blog hops only work if you’re as generous with your comments as you are at sharing your posts.

Be sure to tweet —@twinklediaries or @soot1978 — with the url to your post, using the hashtag #HomeEtc and Jess or I will always retweet (sometimes both of us if you’re lucky)! ;)

Finally, Jess and I will pick one favourite post each week then at the end of the month we’ll choose an overall winner. This lucky blogger will receive a £20 voucher from our fabulous sponsor!

Psst… as well as HomeSense the voucher can also be spent in TK Maxx!

Thanks so much for linking up all your lovely posts. We look forward to reading more of the same this week! The linky portal is open until 11.58pm on Saturday, so lots of time to join in.

#HomeEtc the hashtag

Finally, Jess and I would like to start promoting the #HomeEtc hashtag on Instagram! Please do join in – we would love you to use it too!

Whenever you are on Instagram and posting anything home, interiors, DIY, craft & garden related please do use the #HomeEtc hashtag. We would love to see your Instagram photographs and give them some love!

Lots of love,

Caro & Jess x
