Home Etc #37

Morning, morning — welcome to Home Etc!

My good friend, and co-host, Jess is back from her Cotswold adventure and I’m no longer hosting on my lonesome. Hurrah!

Home Etc is a weekly blog link up for anyone who has written a post that features interiors — wish lists, room tours or DIY — crafting or up-cycling, garden or allotment.

If you’re a home-body and have a post that you’d like to share Jess and I would be delighted for you to come and link up with us!

This week’s favourite posts come, firstly, from Fionnuala at Three Sons Later.

She wrote about her mission to find the perfect set of reclaimed double doors for her hallway.

Now, our cottage doesn’t have a hallway *as such*.

Our ‘hallway’ is a vestibule, approximately 2ft square. There’s no room to swing the proverbial cat, so seeing pictures of these beautiful airy entrance halls fills my heart with joy (tinged with a little bit of envy too).

Gorgeous — imagine coming home to this every day! | Image source

Another favourite post came from Molly at Molly and The Princess.

In stark contrast to my post last week on faux florals, Molly wrote about her real-life plants and gave some amazing advice on how to look after orchids.

Now I’m such a fan of these lovely plants and try my very best to keep them green and blooming. It was lovely to read Molly’s tips — I’ll definitely be bookmarking this post!

Well done Fi and Molly, you two girls are in the running to win this month’s HomeSense voucher, which will be announced in 3 week’s time.

Thanks so much everyone, for linking in. Jess and I really, really enjoyed reading all your posts!

SO looking forward to seeing this week’s blogs.

All we ask is that you follow these 3 little rules:

1) Please include our lovely #HomeEtc badge at the bottom of your post.

The Twinkle Diaries

2) You may link up to two posts — new or old (sometimes the old posts are forgotten about, so please dust them down and show them off; we’d love to read them!)  — but no more than two posts each week please.

3) Please be kind enough to comment on your HOSTS’ POSTS which will always be the first two entries in the link up — plus a couple of others. Blog hops only work if you’re as generous with your comments as you are at sharing your posts.

Be sure to tweet —@twinklediaries or @soot1978 — with the url to your post, using the hashtag #HomeEtc and Jess or I will always retweet (sometimes both of us if you’re lucky)! ;)

Finally, Jess and I will pick one favourite post each week then at the end of the month we’ll choose an overall winner. This lucky blogger will receive a £20 voucher from our fabulous sponsor!

Psst… as well as HomeSense the voucher can also be spent in TK Maxx!

Thanks so much for linking up all your lovely posts. We look forward to reading more of the same this week! The linky portal is open until 11.58pm on Saturday, so lots of time to join in.

Lots of love,

Caro & Jess x
