Home Etc #36

Good morning everyone!

Our first Home Etc post for February and I’m flying solo today. Jess is off, exploring the wilds of the Cotswold countryside and I’m holding the fort here :)

We had a record number of posts linking up to last week’s Home Etc!!

Home Etc is a weekly linky for any bloggers who have written posts that include interiors, DIY, garden or allotment, crafting or up-cycling.

If you’re a home-body and have a post that you’d like to share, my co-host Jess and I would be delighted for you to come and link up with us!

Sadly, my boys and I were *slightly* under the weather and it took an entire week for me to get around to looking at them all! I spent last night going through and we had some FANTASTIC blogs linking in!

It was SO difficult to choose a favourite. And, actually, as Jess is off I got to choose two for a change but it was still so hard; I could have picked out so many!

I narrowed it down to a post from Esther at Inside Out and About, on storage.

I love Esther’s beautiful, relaxed home and I know I was supposed to be looking at bags and boxes but the thing that caught my eye was the fantastic Periodic Table on the bookcase! I LOVE it!

Esther’s sweet bookcase — with that amazing Periodic Table!

My boy trained as a biochemist so this would suit him perfectly :) Such a great gift idea for a scientist!

My second favourite post came from Claire at Style Arch.

She shared her thoughts on her dream home and — for a girl like me who spends HOURS scouring properties on Right Move (my boy calls it ‘property porn’) — this was right up my street!

SO gorgeous.

Think polished concrete floors, iconic design-led furniture and a home office that I’d give my eye-teeth for. Such a beautiful space.

Sadly owned by someone other than Claire!! But hey — we can all dream right?

Thanks so much everyone, for linking in. I really, really enjoyed reading all your posts! And well done Esther and Claire, you two girls are in the running to win this month’s HomeSense voucher.

SO looking forward to seeing this week’s posts.

All we ask is that you follow these 3 little rules:

1) Please include our lovely #HomeEtc badge at the bottom of your post.

The Twinkle Diaries

2) You may link up to two posts — new or old (sometimes the old posts are forgotten about, so please dust them down and show them off; we’d love to read them!)  — but no more than two posts each week please.

3) Please be kind enough to comment on your HOSTS’ POSTS which will always be the first two entries in the link up — plus a couple of others. Blog hops only work if you’re as generous with your comments as you are at sharing your posts.

Be sure to tweet —@twinklediaries or @soot1978 — with the url to your post, using the hashtag #HomeEtc and Jess or I will always retweet (sometimes both of us if you’re lucky)! ;)

Finally, Jess and I will pick one favourite post each week then at the end of the month we’ll choose an overall winner. This lucky blogger will receive a £20 voucher from our fabulous sponsor!

Psst… as well as HomeSense the voucher can also be spent in TK Maxx!

Thanks so much for linking up all your lovely posts. We look forward to reading more of the same this week! The linky portal is open until 11.58pm on Saturday, so lots of time to join in.

Lots of love,

Caro & Jess x
