Home Etc #30

The festive season is now fully underway!

We fetched our Christmas tree on the weekend, which well and truly marks the start of the countdown to Christmas in our house!

Home Etc is a weekly blog hop for like-minded folk to share any posts that include interiors, DIY, garden or allotment, crafting and up-cycling and my co-host Jess and I are so happy to host this little linky.

Basically if it’s home related, we would love you to come and link up with us!

Last week we had some really festive posts joining in! So lovely to see how other folk prepare for Christmas — and seeing how they decorate their houses too.

Our favourite posts from last week came from:

Kate who writes at What Katy Said. She showed off her fabulous bedroom makeover. It never ceases to amaze me what a difference a lick of paint — and some lovely accessories — can make to a room. It can totally alter the look and feel of a space.

Another favourite came from Truly Madly Kids.

Nat has created the most fabulous bolster cushion for her home.

I’m always a sucker for a ‘crafty’ post and I loved this little tutorial. Nat has made it look so easy but I tried piping when I up-cycled the little IKEA shoe rack, earlier in the year, and I thought it was SO complicated!!

This has definitely inspired me to give it another go.

Each month we pick a winner from our favourite posts that have linked up and, this time round, Jess and I are delighted to announce that this month’s winner of a £20 gift voucher for HomeSense/TK Maxx has been won by Steph who blogs over at Life at 139a.

She’s linked up some really fabulous posts over the last few weeks. Congratulations Stephanie! We’ll be in touch for your address then your voucher will be winging it’s way to you!!

Thanks so much for linking up with Jess and me — we love reading your posts and are so happy to be hosting this home and garden inspired blog hop.

All we ask is that you follow these 3 little rules:

1) Please include our lovely #HomeEtc badge at the bottom of your post.

The Twinkle Diaries

2) You may link up to two posts — new or old (sometimes the old posts are forgotten about, so please dust them down and show them off; we’d love to read them!)  — but no more than two posts each week please.

3) Please be kind enough to comment on your HOSTS’ POSTS which will always be the first two entries in the link up — plus a couple of others. Blog hops only work if you’re as generous with your comments as you are at sharing your posts.

Be sure to tweet —@twinklediaries or @soot1978 — with the url to your post, using the hashtag #HomeEtc and Jess or I will always retweet (sometimes both of us if you’re lucky)! ;)

Finally, Jess and I will pick one favourite post each week then at the end of the month we’ll choose an overall winner. This lucky blogger will receive a £20 voucher from our fabulous sponsor!

Psst… as well as HomeSense the voucher can also be spent in TK Maxx!

Thanks so much for linking up all your lovely home and garden inspired posts. We look forward to reading more of the same this week! The linky portal is open until 11.58pm on Saturday, so lots of time to join in.

Lots of love,

Caro & Jess x
