Home Etc #29

It’s DECEMBER (shouted in a Noddy Holder-esque manner)!!! Have you all got your trees and decorations up yet?! We’re off to get our tree this weekend and I cannot wait — I’m literally bouncing off the walls with anticipation!

I absolutely love this time of year! I can forgive the dark days and long nights because — for the next month — all is merry and bright, as people are bitten by the festive bug.

Welcome to this week’s Home Etc!

Jess — from mummyofboygirltwins — and I love hosting this little blog link up. Home Etc is a weekly linky for any bloggers who have written posts that include interiors, DIY, garden or allotment, crafting or up-cycling. If you’re a home-body and have a post that you’d like to share, we’d be delighted for you to come and link up with us!

Our first favourite post from last week comes from Alice, who writes the blog Alice and Amelia.

She showed us her daughter’s gorgeous bedroom — a veritable palace for a little princess. I absolutely loved what Alice had done. There are so many lovely touches, that will take this room from the toddler years, through to when Amelia is a big girl.

I am a real fan of GLTC and have bought lots of bits and pieces, for the twin’s room, from there.

Second favourite this week is from regular HomeEtc linker Steph, who blogs over at Life at 139a. She shared the most fascinating post about ONE Marylebone.

I am a sucker for old buildings and I loved the insight and history in Steph’s post.

Plus those loos!!!!! Unbelievable!

Pop and have a look if you missed it last week!

Well done girls — we loved both of your posts so you’re now in the running to scoop this month’s prize from our generous sponsor HomeSense.

The winner of the next prize will be announced next week!

Thanks so much for linking up with Jess and me — we love reading your posts and are so happy to be hosting this home and garden inspired blog hop.

All we ask is that you follow these 3 little rules:

1) Please include our lovely #HomeEtc badge at the bottom of your post.

The Twinkle Diaries

2) You may link up to two posts — new or old (sometimes the old posts are forgotten about, so please dust them down and show them off; we’d love to read them!)  — but no more than two posts each week please.

3) Please be kind enough to comment on your HOSTS’ POSTS which will always be the first two entries in the link up — plus a couple of others. Blog hops only work if you’re as generous with your comments as you are at sharing your posts.

Be sure to tweet —@twinklediaries or @soot1978 — with the url to your post, using the hashtag #HomeEtc and Jess or I will always retweet (sometimes both of us if you’re lucky)! ;)

Finally, Jess and I will pick one favourite post each week then at the end of the month we’ll choose an overall winner. This lucky blogger will receive a £20 voucher from our fabulous sponsor!

Psst… as well as HomeSense the voucher can also be spent in TK Maxx!

Thanks so much for linking up all your lovely home and garden inspired posts. We look forward to reading more of the same this week! The linky portal is open until 11.58pm on Saturday, so lots of time to join in.

Lots of love,

Caro & Jess x
