Home Etc #24

Halloween this weekend — the clocks have just gone back — and the nights are drawing in.

Winter is here.

I’ve already been preparing the house for the colder months. Cosy blankets, rugs and a good supply of logs for the log burner. It’s no secret that I’m not a fan of this time of year but I can certainly see the charm in cosying up in front of a fire, whilst it’s chilly outside.

We had lots of lovely posts for last week’s #HomeEtc.

My favourite came from Kerry who blogs over at Noah And The Girls — I absolutely LOVED her post about how she’s styled her sitting room using botanical prints.

I created a Pinterest board, for my Woodbine Pantone post, recently, that included lots of lovely botanical  illustrations. It’s such a lovely look; really classic whilst also managing to be completely on-trend.

I love the feel that Kerry has created here. Adding the prints was such a simple thing but has given the room a real focal point.

Jess’ favourite was from a #HomeEtc regular, Sue from Home Heart Harmony.

We’ve been absolutely loving the fantastic updates about her son’s bedroom makeover and — finally — last week, it was the big reveal.

Well worth the wait too :)

It’s SUCH a gorgeous room. Any growing lad would be pleased as punch to have such a cool pad to hand out with their mates. I’d like it for myself in fact!

Very well done girls — you’re both now in the running to win a voucher from HomeSense, our generous sponsor. The winner of the next prize will be announced next week!

Thanks so much for linking up with Jess and me — we love reading your posts and are so happy to be hosting this home and garden inspired blog hop.

All we ask is that you follow these 3 little rules:

1) Please include our lovely #HomeEtc badge at the bottom of your post.

The Twinkle Diaries

2) You may link up to two posts — new or old (sometimes the old posts are forgotten about, so please dust them down and show them off; we’d love to read them!)  — but no more than two posts each week please.

3) Please be kind enough to comment on your HOSTS’ POSTS which will always be the first two entries in the link up — plus a couple of others. Blog hops only work if you’re as generous with your comments as you are at sharing your posts.

Be sure to tweet —@twinklediaries or @soot1978 — with the url to your post, using the hashtag #HomeEtc and Jess or I will always retweet (sometimes both of us if you’re lucky)! ;)

Finally, Jess and I will pick one favourite post each week then at the end of the month we’ll choose an overall winner. This lucky blogger will receive a £20 voucher from our fabulous sponsor!

Psst… as well as HomeSense the voucher can also be spent in TK Maxx!

Lots of love,

Caro & Jess x

Vote cast, good luck lovely and thanks for hosting. Winter is almost here, but that’s a good enough reason to snuggle up isn’t it? X

I love the botanical prints, I am a big fan of green in the house at the moment. I need to get me some more rooms to decorate! ;) I much prefer summer but I do love getting all snuggly for autumn. x

Aaah me too :) Green always looks so fresh doesn’t it? And yep — I’m a fan of the warmer months too. Still not 100% happy that winter is here — even though Christmas is just around the corner — and I love that! :)
