Home Etc #17 — Home and Garden Inspired Blog Hop

Spring cleaning. Does anyone else like having a good old clear out in the autumn?

I LOVE having a good old sort of everything that we’ve accumulated over the year and, either, putting things away or getting rid of it.

Spring is all clean and new anyway but autumn always feels a little bit dusty. In the metaphorical sense.

Having a good old sort out is always a lovely way to round off the summer and get ready for the darker months.

My lovely friend and co-host Jess — mummy of boy girl twins —  and I had lots of lovely ‘sorting’ and revamping posts in last weeks Home Etc link-up.

Rachel from The Ordinary Lovely created a sweet pin-board for all her bits and bobs, whilst Helena — The Queen Of Collage — reorganised her craft materials.

But my favourite from last week came from Caroline who blogs over at Diary of a Mum of Three.

She shared her blogging corner with us. And if you go and look at her post you’d have to agree that it’s undergone a pretty amazing transformation!

Jess’ favourite (and it’s so easy to see why) was created by Lins who writes at Boo And Maddie.

She’d produced the most fabulous ombre effect on a chest of drawers using Annie Sloan’s Chalk Paint. I’ve written before about my own chest of drawers makeover using Chalk Paint.

So lovely to see someone else’s take on it and the effect she’s created is fabulous!

Well done both of you! You’re now in the running to win a £20 voucher from our fabulous sponsor, HomeSense! The winner of this month’s prize will be announced in three weeks time.

Thanks so much for linking up with Jess and me — we love seeing your posts every week!

All we ask is that you follow these 3 little rules:

1) Please include our lovely #HomeEtc badge at the bottom of your post.

The Twinkle Diaries

2) You may link up to two posts — new or old (sometimes the old posts are forgotten about, so please dust them down and show them off; we’d love to read them!)  — but no more than two posts each week please.

3) Please be kind enough to comment on your HOSTS’ POSTS which will always be the first two entries in the link up — plus a couple of others. Blog hops only work if you’re as generous with your comments as you are at sharing your posts.

Be sure to tweet —@twinklediaries or @soot1978 — with the url to your post, using the hashtag #HomeEtc and Jess or I will always retweet (sometimes both of us if you’re lucky)! ;)

Finally, Jess and I will pick one favourite post each week then at the end of the month we’ll choose an overall winner. This lucky blogger will receive a £20 voucher from our fabulous sponsor!

Psst… as well as HomeSense the voucher can also be spent in TK Maxx!

Thanks so much for linking up all your lovely home and garden inspired posts. We look forward to reading more of the same this week! The linky portal is open until 11.58pm on Saturday, so lots of time to join in.

Lots of love,

Caro & Jess x
