Happy Home Etc day!
It feels like just 5 minutes since we were introducing the February edition — I can’t believe that a whole month has flown by and it’s March already.
And, with it, lots of change.
We had our planning permission and listed building consent granted a couple of week’s ago.
I wrote about our single storey extension briefly back in 2016, so I’m beyond excited that my pipe-dream is about to become reality and we’re going to finally turn our little wonky house into a dream home.
And we’re not the only ones! It seems that 2019 is the year of the extension.
So many fellow bloggers and friends are extending their homes, in favour of moving.
And for those who aren’t going the whole hog and extending, there’s an awful lot of prettifying and budget makeovers going on!
My co-host Lins did a brilliant kitchen makeover on a shoe-string a couple of week’s ago, whilst our favourite blogger from last month’s Home Etc link up was also busy overhauling an area of her home. Sitting room shelf styling for £50!
Home Etc Favourite
Sarah from the blog Dream of Home showed us her fabulous shelf styling challenge.
Adding a couple of carefully styled shelves to a neglected alcove in her sitting room has totally transformed the room.
All for under 50 quid!
Thanks so much Sarah for sharing your beautiful home with us — and to everyone else for linking up your blog posts too.
If you’d like to share blog posts in this month’s linky, have a little read of our house rules.
HOME ETC HOUSE-RULES
1) Please include our lovely #HomeEtc badge at the bottom of your post.
2) You may link up to two posts — new or old (sometimes the old posts are forgotten about, so please dust them down and show them off; we’d love to read them!) — but no more than two posts each week please.
3) Please be kind enough to comment on your HOSTS’ POST which will always be the first entry in the link up — plus a couple of others.
Blog hops only work if you’re as generous with your comments as you are at sharing your posts and, in recent times, there has definitely been some link dumping and some posts have been given barely any comments.
We want to create a lovely community and commenting and sharing each other’s posts is all part of that.
Between us, we will pick one favourite post every month. Don’t forget to use the #HomeEtc hashtag if ever you post any home-related content over on Instagram!
