Home Etc 157 | December Edition {and a little girls bedroom makeover}

‘Is your tree up yet?!’

Is the question that seems to be on everyone’s lips at the moment!!

Ours is in place, but is looking decidedly ‘underdressed’.

We had a brief discussion as to whether the Christmas lights were in good order (I didn’t think they were all working, Mr D was convinced they were) but, upon closer inspection, we found out that all lights were decidedly dead.

Fingers crossed for some seasonal related Home Etc posts to get me in the festive spirit then!! As this is the last link up of 2018, I’m hoping for a whole load of Christmassy content!!

But — Christmas trees aside — without further ado, it’s time to crown the last Home Etc winner of the year. Congratulations Laura, who writes over at Dear Bear and Beany who shared a post on her little girls bedroom makeover.

Lins and I loved the bedroom that she’d created for her daughter Alice.

Full of sweet little accessories; it’s the perfect space for a growing girl.

I especially loved this little set of trunks!

Funnily enough, I’m just in the process of updating the boys’ bedroom; there will be a blog post to follow in the new year showing how it’s been updated from their original nursery, to a big boy bedroom.

I’m definitely going to take Laura’s lead and try to choose products that will grow with them.

Well done Laura — you’re the winner of the voucher from our lovely sponsor Laura Ashley.

For anyone who would like to share blog posts in this month’s link-up, have a little read of our house rules.

1) Please include our lovely #HomeEtc badge at the bottom of your post.

The Twinkle Diaries

2) You may link up to two posts — new or old (sometimes the old posts are forgotten about, so please dust them down and show them off; we’d love to read them!) — but no more than two posts each week please.

3) Please be kind enough to comment on your HOSTS’ POST which will always be the first entry in the link up — plus a couple of others.

Blog hops only work if you’re as generous with your comments as you are at sharing your posts and, in recent times, there has definitely been some link dumping and some posts have been given barely any comments.

We want to create a lovely community and commenting and sharing each other’s posts is all part of that.

Tweet —@twinklediaries or @LinsDrabwell — with the url to your post, using the hashtag #HomeEtc and Lins or I will retweet (sometimes both of us if you’re lucky)! ;)

Between us, we will pick one favourite post every month and that lucky blogger will receive a voucher from our fabulous sponsor!

Finally, before I sign off this final Hoe Etc post of the year, I just wanted to say a big

Thank you!

Thanks so much everyone for linking up all your fabulous posts over this last year. Lins and I are so grateful for your support and friendship.

We love our little Home Etc community and are thrilled that we’ll be celebrating four years in 2019!

We’ll be back with the first Home Etc link-up of the year on January 9th.

Happy Christmas everyone!!

Lins and Caro xx

  1. Oh I will have to finish a post from my many drafts and link it up. I used to love Wednesdays for #homeetc but just have not had the time this year to link up. I miss it. Thanks for hosting. Still my favourite linky.

Please leave me a comment — I love hearing from you!
