Home Etc 154 | September Edition

And, just like a flash, the long summer holiday has ended and today my little companions are back to school. It kind of feels as though it’s the end of summer.

But what a summer it’s been. Everything we could have wished for; sunshine, festivals and fun.

September kind of feels like new year, in a way; a fresh start, new shoes, new pencil case etc…

And in the case of Suzanne, from the blog ‘And Ruby Makes Four‘ — last month’s Home Etc winner — it’s also time for a brand new bathroom!

Home Etc Favourite

My Home Etc co-host, Lins, and I loved all the homely little touches; blush pink and grey working beautifully with the patterned tiles.

Plus natural touches from the gorgeous Kubu baskets from Laura Ashley.

If you’d like to see more pictures, pop along to Suzanne’s blog to have a look.

It’s definitely made me rethink our own bathroom; it’s long overdue a makeover but I can see that with a few little touches — new towels or simple storage — I could make a big difference, quite easily.

Well done Suzanne — you’re the winner of the August voucher from our lovely sponsor Laura Ashley! Maybe you can treat yourself to a couple more pieces for your lovely bathroom :)

For anyone who would like to share blog posts in this month’s link-up, have a little read of our house rules.

HOME ETC HOUSE-RULES

1) Please include our lovely #HomeEtc badge at the bottom of your post.

The Twinkle Diaries

2) You may link up to two posts — new or old (sometimes the old posts are forgotten about, so please dust them down and show them off; we’d love to read them!) — but no more than two posts each week please.

3) Please be kind enough to comment on your HOSTS’ POST which will always be the first entry in the link up — plus a couple of others.

Blog hops only work if you’re as generous with your comments as you are at sharing your posts and, in recent times, there has definitely been some link dumping and some posts have been given barely any comments.

We want to create a lovely community and commenting and sharing each other’s posts is all part of that.

Tweet —@twinklediaries or @BooandMaddie — with the url to your post, using the hashtag #HomeEtc and Lins or I will retweet (sometimes both of us if you’re lucky)! ;)

Between us, we will pick one favourite post every month and that lucky blogger will receive a voucher from our fabulous sponsor!

Thanks for linking up your fabulous posts — and don’t forget to tag any home related pics on Instagram with the #HomeEtc hashtag too.

Lots of love,

Caro and Lins x

PS — the next edition of Home Etc will be live on 3rd October.
