Home Etc #10 — Home and Garden Inspired Blog Hop

Morning everybody, I hope your week is going well and you’ve been making the most of the sunshine!

Wednesday marks the start of another Home Etc blog-hop — it’s the place to come and link up your home and garden inspired posts.

My co-host Jess — from mummy of boy girl twins — and I had some fab blogs joining in last week.

We had a bathroom makeover post — from Mrs Puddle Ducky — showing her fantastic bathroom transformation and another from Rock & Roll Pussy Cat showing how to make a brilliant garden sandpit for little ones.

But my absolute favourite of last week’s link ups came from A Touch of Domesticity.

Her lovely reversible cushions made me want to get the sewing machine out again! I’m not entirely sure that it’s recovered from the last little project I used it for but  after seeing these lovely cushions in their fabulous, mismatched fabrics, I want to have a go myself!!

Lovely fabrics make these beautiful reversible cushions from A Touch of Domesticity extra special

Such lovely fabrics. I went to a huge haberdashers recently and took lots of pics of their fabric ranges! Now I have the perfect excuse to use LOADS of different patterns :)

Jess’ favourite post came from a #HomeEtc regular — the lovely Sabrina — who blogs over at The Mummy Stylist. She’s made some fabulous Bus Blind Artwork.

Fabulous and SO clever.

#HomeEtc post of the week from The Mummy Stylist

We’ve actually got an original one of these on the wall in our own home, from Pedlars; it says ‘TO & FROM THE OVAL’ — as my boy is a huge cricket fan — and I swear, looking at them both, you’d not know that Sabrina’s is a DIY job — hers looks absolutely amazing!

Well done to both of you girls, you’re now in the running to win our monthly prize of a HomeSense voucher!

If you missed these two posts last week, pop along and have a look at them, they’re so inspirational. It just goes to show that you can make a beautiful home with a little creativity.

Thanks so much for supporting this little linky — Jess and I love all your home and garden posts and are delighted to see so many lovely bloggers linking up :)

All we ask is that you follow these 3 little rules:

1) Please include our lovely #HomeEtc badge at the bottom of your post.

The Twinkle Diaries

2) You may link up to two posts — new or old (sometimes the old posts are forgotten about, so please dust them down and show them off; we’d love to read them!)  — but no more than two posts each week please.

3) Please be kind enough to comment on your HOSTS’ POSTS which will always be the first two entries in the link up — plus a couple of others. Blog hops only work if you’re as generous with your comments as you are at sharing your posts.

Be sure to tweet —@twinklediaries or @soot1978 — with the url to your post, using the hashtag #HomeEtc and Jess or I will always retweet (sometimes both of us if you’re lucky)! ;)

Finally, Jess and I will pick one favourite post each week then at the end of the month we’ll choose an overall winner. This lucky blogger will receive a £20 voucher from our fabulous sponsor!

Psst… as well as HomeSense the voucher can also be spent in TK Maxx!

Thanks so much for linking up all your gorgeous home and garden inspired posts. We look forward to reading more of the same this week! The linky portal is open until 11.58pm on Saturday, so lots of time to join in.

Lots of love,

Caro & Jess x

I should not have read this post while eating my breakfast – I almost choked on my cereal when I saw you’d picked my cushion post for your favourite! Gosh, thank you. I never, ever win anything and then this week there’s your lovely, kind words about my cushions and I got a call yesterday to say I’d won a competition to go to the Tatton Park RHS garden show. What on earth is going on??!!!! xxx
