Colour Your World | #26 Pantone Blooming Dahlia

Pantone· Style & Fashion

Just as I think we’ve finally turned the corner — and winter seems to be making an exit — Mother Nature chucks us another curve ball.

Although it was still light at almost 6 o’clock yesterday (a couple of weeks’ ago it was dark at 4pm so a vast improvement) we’ve had yet another sprinkling of snow and the temperatures are Baltic.

I’m so over winter!!

My feet are longing to escape the confines of thick socks and boots. And I’m yearning to leave the house in less than the coat, hat, scarf and gloves combo that I’ve been wearing for the last three months.

My eyes are firmly fixed on spring at the moment.

I’m fed up of all the murk and dinge and — as the seasons begin to shift — my eyes are drawn to fresher, warmer colours.

I’m absolutely loving this soft coral shade in the Pantone spring trend forecast for 2018.

Pantone Blooming Dahlia

1. Message Pattern Sweatshirt — Mango
2. Open Toe Espadrilles — LOTD
3. Star Print Round Neck Jumper — Marks & Spencer
4. Hollywood Lips in Rising Star — Charlotte Tilbury
5. Mini Zipped Bayswater — Mulberry
6. Shoreditch Watch — Henry London
7. Cashmere Rose EDP — Zara
8. Shaping Skinny Low Jeans — H&M

Pantone Blooming Dahlia is a little more gentle than Peach Echo — which is a hot, vivid coral.

It reminds me slightly of Strawberry Ice which is definitely in the same spectrum; but it has a slightly softer, yellower base.

Blooming Dahlia is a peachy pink; reminiscent of the blowsy blooms that it takes its name from.

The perfect colour for the first pedicure of the spring. When winter finally decides to bow out, of course.

I don’t think we’re going to be ditching the boots any time soon.

It’s lovely isn’t it? Such a pretty shade after the drudgery of winter xx
