Colour Your World | #6 Pantone Toasted Almond

So I’ve decided to mix things up a little; this time we’re looking at Pantone Toasted Almond.

And having concentrated on home-ware for the last 5 weeks, I suddenly had a burning desire to look at some fashion!

I LOVE how this colour has evolved over the years.

This spring it’s ‘Toasted Almond’, although over the years it’s appeared in many different guises. Nude, sable, taupe and back in the 80s it was plain old beige.

Whatever you want to call it, it’s a tricky shade to pull off when worn alone. But used with — or as — an accent colour, Pantone Toasted Almond can look amazing!

I’ve picked a few bits and pieces — any of these could work together — it’s a great neutral and looks über chic with black, charcoal or navy or even paired with lavender, zesty orange or even the strawberry pink shade that I’ll be looking at next week.

Personally, I’m not a fan of a totally nude ensemble but a hint — here and there — is a lovely addition to an outfit.

2. Marlin Skinny Belt — ASOS
3. Fringed Leather Scarf — Zara
4. Tom Ford Lip Colour, Sable Smoke —  House of Fraser
5. Selina Glasses, Nude — Boden
6.  22K Rose Gold Vermeil Bijou Small Heart Pendant — Dinny Hall
7. Hino Lace Up Shoe — Whistles

8. Marte Dress, Navy/Nude — Reiss

It’s so nice seeing this shade appearing in various textures and finishes; last year it was all about glossy patent, so it’s lovely to see croc patterns, matt finishes and buttery soft suede making an appearance and it really gives it a different dimension.

Finally, I’m obsessing about the Whistles shoes — just gorgeous — and hey! Whilst I’ll never have legs like Giselle, these bad boys look amazing and a nude shoe is a brilliant way to give the illusion of longer legs.

And that can only be a good thing.
