A Little Slice of Heaven | Introducing Bosinver Farm Cottages

Since we’ve been a family of four, all of our holidays — apart from our amazing first family abroad to Sardinia in July — have been in and around the UK.

Luckily, Britain is such a beautiful island and, arguably, there’s nowhere more picturesque than Cornwall.

So much to do — sweet little fishing villages to explore plus bigger attractions like the Eden Project — all surrounded by glorious coastlines. Miles and miles of unspoilt sandy beaches, plus coastal walks along rocky cliffs and windswept hillsides.

It’s always gorgeous to gulp in the fresh sea air and get those cheeks glowing isn’t it? Being beside the seaside is the most amazing tonic and the perfect way to blow the cobwebs away.

So imagine our delight to be asked to stay at one of the loveliest locations in Cornwall — Bosinver Farm Cottages. A little slice of heaven on earth, offering self catering holidays on a luxury scale.

With 20 ‘homes-from-home’ to choose from — everything from eco-homes to beautifully designed cottages and farmhouses — holiday makers looking for the perfect getaway will be literally spoilt for choice.

As well as the gorgeously appointed accommodation, Bosinver boasts beautifully landscaped gardens and 35 acres of wildflower meadows — fingers firmly crossed this will be in bloom next spring when we visit, imagine what a glorious backdrop that could be for our monthly Me and Mine pictures!!

There are woods to explore — and a lake — perfect for getting closer to nature. I’m so looking forward to taking the boys out on an adventure. We can look for Stickman and The Gruffalo — perhaps take a picnic if the weather is kind.

And if it’s not, there’s still plenty to do indoors.

Bosinver Farm Cottages has an indoor swimming pool, a playbarn — with actual soft play equipment (total heaven on earth for two little three year olds I know!) — plus, if you fancy cosying up indoors and not leaving your cottage at all, the clever folk there have put together a baking box for guests to borrow!! Perfect for a bit of family baking with the kids.

I love that kind of attention to detail; everything has been thought of and little touches like that really make you remember a place don’t they?

Their larger cottages are ideal for family get-togethers and celebrations and sleep between 8- 12 people, depending on which you choose.

The Farmhouse, for example, boasts a 38ft lounge and Bosinver even have a private chef on hand, for guests who would rather hand the cooking duties over to someone else!

As the cottages are laid out almost like a small village, a huge party could easily book a cottage each and totally take over the place (I’m thinking my boy’s next BIG milestone birthday in a couple of year’s time!!).

Needless to say, we are SO excited about visiting Bosinver Farm Cottages.

The Twinkles have already been making lists of things they want to see and do. Feeding the animals with Farmer Dave is high up there on the ‘to do’ list. They can also go on a pony ride on one of the farm’s three horses; Rupert, Kizzy or Secret.

Their daddy is looking forward to sampling the gastro-delights of Cornwall.

Bosinver is surrounded by a wealth of amazing eateries — beachside cafes serving lovely local produce — plus he’s keen to go to Rick Stein’s restaurant in Padstow.

We’re both huge lovers of seafood and it’s only a 40 minute drive from Bosinver, so we’ll certainly make the effort to go whilst we’re down there.

And me?

I’m looking forward to kicking back and enjoying the scenery and spending some quality time with my three boys.

Some of our extended family may be joining us for the week, so hopefully it will be a real family affair and a lovely opportunity to spend time with our nearest and dearest.

Word is, that there’s a couple of gin distilleries in that neck of the woods so we may seek them out too.

And finally, I’ve been keenly watching Poldark on a Sunday night so may go on a hunt for him whilst we’re down there…

*fans cheeks*

We are thrilled to be ambassadors for Bosinver Farm Cottages and are really looking forward to sharing our adventures with you, when we go next year. But if you can’t wait that long and fancy an autumn —or even winter — break in beautiful Cornwall, pop and have a look at their website.

You can even take your dog! ;)

  1. This looks really lovely. We are big fans of Cornwall, my hubby is Cornish and we still visit the in-laws often. We managed almost 3 weeks there this summer. The cottages look ideal and the pictures are beautiful. Recommend Rick Stein and Chough’s bakery for the best pasties in Cornwall (from a Cornish person!). You are going to enjoy this! 2. The Bavarian would have been sold on these holiday home with just the line “You can even take your dog” since the new dog is his biggest obsession these days. All holiday plans EVER now revolve around whether or not the dog may come.
They look gorgeous. I’m sure you’ll have a wonderful holiday.
