Disclosure: This is an unpaid partnership with Phoenix Yard Books. I received The One and Only Adult Colouring Books to review. All thoughts, words and images — as ever — are entirely my own.
There are some things in life that I still enjoy; now I’m an adult, just as much as I did when I as a child.
An ice-cream with a flake (from an actual ice-cream van). Paddling in the sea. Kicking a big pile of crunchy autumn leaves; (this was mentioned in my 50 favourite things!).
And I’ve since found out that ‘colouring in’ is one of those things!
There has been a huge resurgence in anti stress colouring books for adults recently. Even our village post office has been selling a few.
But none are quite as lovely as these. ‘The One and Only Adult Colouring Books’; from Phoenix Yard Books.
The One and Only Adult Colouring Books
These are pretty spectacular, let me tell you; beautifully designed and full of intricate black and white patterns, to colour in.
Initially I very nearly dismissed them; thinking it was a childish thing to be doing. But on receipt of these gorgeous books, I got totally immersed in their designs.
And once I started colouring, I had to keep coming back to do a little more!
A bit like a jigsaw — you just can’t leave it alone! And as I’ve said before, why should we put away childish things, once we’re grown up? The simple things are often the best; and these simple colouring books for adults are fabulous.
If you want to do something gently creative. Plus very relaxing — mindfulness colouring books for adults is the hobby for you.
You can totally transport yourself away and while away the hours, crayoning these beautiful patterns.
Keep your knitting — colouring in is where it’s at these days ;)
