These pictures make me want to cry.
The babies were just 4 months old and I was really just getting into the swing of being a mama of twins. These photos were secretly taken by my lovely boy — I didn’t know I was under observation — and I absolutely love that he’s perfectly captured a really intimate, special moment with our two tiny sons.
I always think that the best photos of me are the candid shots — the ones that are taken unawares — the natural, uncontrived ones. And these are exactly that.
A proper captured moment.
My littlies are 23 months old tomorrow. Their chubby, baby baldness has been replaced with mop headed gorgeousness — two little dynamos that can run, climb and talk. When these photos were taken, I simply couldn’t have imagined the little boys they they are today.
It just gets better and better.

I love looking back at how small the twin were. Ours turn 3 on Friday and I find it so scary how quick the time has gone x #mycapturedmoment
Me too Kirsty! I can’t believe that these little 5lb scraps are now robust little boys!! It’s amazing how fast the time goes isn’t it?
Oh these pictures are perfect! And how amazing that you didn’t know they were being taken. Now that’s a real captured moment!
Thank you so much for linking up xxx
We’ve got quite a few where the subject is totally unaware that they’re being ‘captured’! My boy has always had a camera in his hand — way before the days of phones with cameras even! When we used to go clubbing, he’s take a disposable camera with him!! I’m lucky to be with someone that likes to keep a record of our lives through pictures. Thanks so much for hosting Heledd! X
Good on that man for taking the photos in the first place!!! What beautifully captured moments!! Love their faces, so intrigued by what they are seeing!

I know!! I’m so grateful he loves photography!! He’s pretty good with the camera too — he has a better understanding of it than I do. So happy he was around to capture this.
Aw cute photos :-) And that is amazing that you’ve kept track of week numbers – wow! x
Aaah — thanks Sabrina! And yep — the weeks were easy when they were 10, 16, 20 weeks old!! It’s a little trickier now we’re in the hundreds!! I’m not sure why I started it but I can’t stop!! :)
That’s you and me both today. Amazing pictures huni. Love you xxxx
Aaah you too pet! Glad it’s not just me!! ;) X
These pictures are so beautiful, I love those pictures where you are caught unaware, I love the naturalness of them and these are stunning xx
Aaah thanks so much! I love them. There’s another he took too, when they are quite a bit older, and I’m reading to them. That’s one of my faves as well! X
Oh how lovely these are!!!!! So beautiful and precious! We have hardly any of me with the twins when they were little, which is why we are making up for it now! Gorgeous xxxxx #mycapturedmoment
We’ve got quite a few but some of them are dire. I had put on 4 and a half stone, when I was pregnant, so some of those early pics don’t even look like me!! It’s a shame — they should be pics I like looking back over but some of the ‘just out of hospital’ photos are horrendous! I just look like a fat, dough-faced Mrs Stay-Puft!!X
