The best baby changing bag? Meet the PacaPod Firenze

When I was pregnant I spent a lot of time Googling things. How do you breastfeed two babies at once? What’s the best baby changing bag for twins?  The best white-noise app/bottle steriliser/pushchair?

You know the kind of thing.

I’m not quite sure what we used to do before the days of the internet but these days, if you have a question, you’ll be sure to find the answer on Google.

(Other search engines are probably available.)

But anyway — I digress.

4 years Later…

Three and a half years into motherhood and an awful lot of water has passed under the bridge. Instead of breast-pumps and sterilisers I’m now Googling how to deal with tantrums.

But strangely enough I think I’ve finally just come across the best baby change bag. For me anyway.

When the twins were born I bought a PacaPod Mirano in navy.

We’ve still got it; it’s a little scuffed round the edges but very much intact. I bought this particular bag because of it’s HUGE internal proportions — that bad-boy can carry a lot of stuff — and also the fact that it was unisex.

My boy balked at some of the change bags that were available (pink bows and ditsy prints are not really his thang) but, with it’s cool good looks, the Mirano could pass as a ‘man-bag.

And for a couple, like us, who shared the baby change duties, the Mirano has been a fantastic buy.

I highly, highly recommend it.

But these days there are no baby change duties to speak of. I do still carry a whole load of gumpf around with me though but am so over the whole baby change bag thing.

I want something gorgeous and ladylike. Not a bag to share with my husband.

That said, when you’re still carrying wet-wipes, two sippy cups, an outfit change — just incase of a toilet mishap (them not me) — and a raft of snacks (boxes of raisins and the like) a standard handbag is just not going to cut the mustard.

The PacaPod Firenze

Enter my new bag crush. The PacaPod Firenze in pewter leather.

OK. I’m not straying too far from the stable here —  it’s another PacaPod — but for a busy mama, their unique 3-in-1 organiser system works.

Each PacaPod baby bag comes complete with pram clips, a key fob, inner mobile and pen pocket dividers — plus an across the body shoulder strap.

But in addition to the outer bag, inside you also have two smaller bags. An insulated feeder pod which can be easily accessed and clips onto the pram handle. And a changer pod with change-mat.

But, this time round, I’ve not been been drawn the the Firenze for what’s inside. If I’m totally honest, I’ve been totally captivated by it’s lovely exterior.

Shallow — in this instance, yes — but don’t judge me!

Many thanks to PacaPod for my glorious new bag. It’s been bursting with stuff for the boys on family days out but I’ve also taken great delight in removing the pods — and feeling like a glam lady — when I’ve had been out on my own.

For any new mama (or mum of toddlers who is looking for a smart upgrade) this bag has it all.

The Firenze is a smasher.
