Home Etc #14 — Home and Garden Inspired Blog Hop

Another week is flying by and it’s time for another Home Etc already :)

The thing with running these linkies is, your weeks are mapped out before you. The working week is punctuated with blog-hop landmarks and, as a result, the months seem to speed by so much quicker than they did previously.

Although, I suspect, this also has a lot to do with getting old.

Each week, when the linky goes live, my lovely co-host Jess — and  I get so excited to see those little squares fill up with all the lovely blog posts!

I never tire of seeing everyone’s lovely homes, interior wishlists and garden projects.

Last week was no exception. We had a little tutorial from Ellie, showing how to make a pretty, rose encrusted, candle votive. And an inspiring post from Tanita at Just Motherhood on decluttering. Seeing what she did gave me a bit of a shove, to be honest, and as soon as I have a spare weekend, the clutter in our home is all going on Ebay.

My favourite post of the week came from Nancy at Hello Nancy! Her tutorial on how to build a desk was right up my street. It had me dreaming, once again, of my garden office (which, I’m assured, is in the pipeline) and hoping that I don’t have to wait too long for my dream to materialise .

Hello Nancy’s amazing DIY desk!

Jess’ favourite post came from Becky at Little O and Me.

She shared a corner of her little boy’s bedroom and it was so full of charm and sweet little touches.

I’m really excited to see what she does with the rest of their lovely new home, as time goes on. Well done girls! You’re now both in the running to scoop a voucher from our fabulous sponsor — HomeSense — and we’ll be announcing this month’s winner next week.

It’s such a treat to see all these lovely posts! Thanks so much for linking up with Jess and me. We really do appreciate it :)

All we ask is that you follow these 3 little rules:

1) Please include our lovely #HomeEtc badge at the bottom of your post.

The Twinkle Diaries

2) You may link up to two posts — new or old (sometimes the old posts are forgotten about, so please dust them down and show them off; we’d love to read them!)  — but no more than two posts each week please.

3) Please be kind enough to comment on your HOSTS’ POSTS which will always be the first two entries in the link up — plus a couple of others. Blog hops only work if you’re as generous with your comments as you are at sharing your posts.

Be sure to tweet —@twinklediaries or @soot1978 — with the url to your post, using the hashtag #HomeEtc and Jess or I will always retweet (sometimes both of us if you’re lucky)! ;)

Finally, Jess and I will pick one favourite post each week then at the end of the month we’ll choose an overall winner. This lucky blogger will receive a £20 voucher from our fabulous sponsor!

Psst… as well as HomeSense the voucher can also be spent in TK Maxx!

Thanks so much for linking up all your lovely home and garden inspired posts. We look forward to reading more of the same this week! The linky portal is open until 11.58pm on Saturday, so lots of time to join in.

Lots of love,

Caro & Jess x
